Carter B.

Carter B.

Carter was born and raised in Michigan, where he developed a deep love for the Lord and felt a call to youth ministry. He attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and studied Youth Ministry and Missions.

At Moody he met his wife, Anna, who has attended Cedar Heights Baptist Church (CHBC) since she was in ninth grade. While they dated, Carter visited Cedar Falls many times, getting to know the church. He completed an internship in CHBC’s youth ministry, and after graduating from Moody, was hired as Pastor of Youth and Children in 2014.

Carter’s primary role in the church is the leadership of InnerChange (CHBC’s Junior and Senior High ministry), which includes leading a team of volunteers, teaching regularly to the teens, and creating opportunities for teens to use their gifts within the local church.

Carter also provides oversight and support to the Children’s Ministry and uses his love for the outdoors to minister to men in the church through backpacking and camping trips.

In his free time, he enjoys exploring new places, backpacking, fishing and playing sports. He is also an avid fan of the University of Michigan.
