Dann graduated from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, in 1980. He then attended Grand Rapids Baptist Theological Seminary and finished his Masters of Divinity in 1985.
Dann met Michele at Cedarville University, and the two married in 1982. After Seminary, they moved to Kokomo, Indiana, where Dann served as a youth pastor at Bible Baptist Church. In 1990, Dann was offered a position as Senior Pastor of Maplelawn Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Together, Dann and Michele served the church for 15 years before accepting the position of Pastor of Discipleship and Missions at Cedar Heights Baptist Church (CHBC).
Dann and Michele have seven children, four of whom are married: Erin (Grant) Davison, Kyle (Melody) Green, Amy (Aaron Thelon), Lara (Tom) Hammond, Scott (Grace) Green, Rachel (Sam) Cook and Jonathan. They also have 11 grandchildren (Layla, Mya and Mason, Addi, Emmiline, Aelin, Ari, Wesley, Callum and Owen, Emersyn).
Dann is involved in many areas in the church including discipleship, missions, Acts 2:42 small groups, adult education and men’s ministry.
Dann enjoys spending time with family and friends, biking, reading and watching sports (avid Ohio State fan).
