Our Sunday School department includes preschool through sixth grade.
Our curriculum offers a continuum of learning which builds upon truths throughout the elementary years.
It is also designed for parental participation through the use of parent resource pages. Parents are children’s first and primary teachers, and we cherish the opportunity to partner with them in the spiritual teaching and training of their children.
Preschool Class (3 yrs old by Sept. 15): “He Established A Testimony”
God has testified of His glorious deeds and mighty power. This study chronologically explores God’s greatness by looking at key themes found throughout the Old Testament. Children will become acquainted with a great God whose character never changes.
Kindergarten Class: “Jesus, What A Savior”
We were created to enjoy the glory of God. But as sinners we fail to trust Him as we should. Our hearts are full of sin and we stand in need of a Savior. This chronological study on redemption explores the incomparable greatness and worth of God, the desperate condition of helpless sinners, and the all sufficient work of Jesus Christ to redeem sinful people.
1st & 2nd Grade Class: “Faithful to All His Promises”
God’s promises are gifts to the believer. The challenge of the Christian life is not to simply know the promises of God, but to place unshakable confidence in them. This study teaches children that God’s character is trustworthy; therefore, His promises are true and reliable.
3rd & 4th Grade Class: “To Be Like Jesus”
What is salvation? How does one become a Christian? What does it mean to be like Jesus? This course helps answer these important questions by explaining elements of the Gospel message; it’s purpose and promise. A major portion of this study focuses on sanctification — the process by which a Christian becomes more and more conformed to the likeness of Jesus.
5th & 6th Grade Class: “How Majestic is Your Name”
The names of God are a wonderful revelation of His majestic character. This study presents the Hebrew names of God in the Old Testament, and the names of Christ and the Holy spirit in the New Testament. Each lesson encourages children to see and rejoice in the goodness and greatness of God as they explore the meaning of His glorious names.
