Awana
Cedar Heights Baptist Church 2430 Neola St., Cedar Falls, IAOur Awana Club is a Bible-centered children’s ministry whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym “AWANA” comes from the first letters of “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed,” as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Children ages preschool through sixth grade are welcome to our weekly activities which include Bible lessons, small groups, prayer, singing, scripture memory, games and snacks.

As believers, we know prayer is important, but often we struggle to feel like we’re effective in our praying. We can be easily distracted or even get bored praying the same things. We’ll explore a few ways that we can grow in focus, be strengthened in knowing what to pray, and delight even more in talking with our Heavenly Father.
