AWANA

Cedar Heights Baptist Church 2430 Neola St., Cedar Falls, IA

Our AWANA Club is a Bible-centered children’s ministry whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym “AWANA” comes from the first letters of “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed,” as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Children ages preschool through sixth grade are welcome to our weekly activities which include Bible lessons, small groups, prayer, singing, scripture memory, games and snacks.

Women’s Brunch

Dawkins' home

College women and CHBC ladies: You are invited to a women's brunch to welcome college students and get to know each other better. The brunch is 10:30 a.m. - noon on Saturday, September 8, at the home of Julia Dawkins. We will share a testimony or two, and then enjoy some fellowship and food.

Men’s Study

Cedar Heights Baptist Church 2430 Neola St., Cedar Falls, IA

Men, join us for the study "9 Attributes of a Man" 6:45 - 8 p.m. Mondays starting September 10 in the fellowship hall at CHBC. The cost is $20, which includes a workbook and snacks.   The study will be led by Mike Froehle and a group of other men. It will run for 10 weeks.

Lynn Bauer will open her home again for a women's prayer night. Candace Buskohl will lead us in praying through some scripture.

Women’s Study: “People of the Promised Land”

Christensen home

Join us for our fall Bible study, "People of the Promised Land" (a Bible Study Fellowship home discussion). We'll study Joshua, Ruth, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1-11 and overviews of Psalms and Proverbs. Dani Christensen and Carmen Christie will lead the study. Space is limited. Sign up in the foyer or by contacting Dani. Childcare provided by two college students for around 10 children.

Everyone is invited to come together to share a simple meal, fellowship and pray. As we meet as one body, we will orient ourselves and each other toward CHBC’s mission of desiring to reflect the glory of God in all things and toward Christ.

Thanksgiving Meal and Time of Praise

Turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy will be provided. Bring a side dish and dessert to share. Please also consider sharing a brief testimony glorifying God for his work in your life over the past year.   If you are available to help set up, serve food, or clean up, please sign up at church on Sunday, Nov. 11, or contact the church office.
