Child Protection Policy Training
Cedar Heights Baptist Church 2430 Neola St., Cedar Falls, IAWe are still on schedule to roll out our new Child Protection Policy in February. We are excited about this and the ways it will help us to better protect both our volunteers and the children in our care! One major change laid out in this policy is a mandatory training for all volunteers. Volunteers will also need to complete training for all of the specific ministries they serve in (nursery, children’s Sunday School, Awana, youth group). These trainings will also be […]

AWANA
Cedar Heights Baptist Church 2430 Neola St., Cedar Falls, IAOur AWANA Club is a Bible-centered children’s ministry whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym “AWANA” comes from the first letters of “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed,” as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Children ages preschool through sixth grade are welcome to our weekly activities which include Bible lessons, small groups, prayer, singing, scripture memory, games and snacks.
