What is it?

This book uses a fun story about Buster the Bunny and his excitement to win the big race at camp to help kids learn how to deal with failure. The story shows how Buster and his family members learn how to deal with failure and help encourage each other.

Who’s it for?

This book is part of the “Good News for Little Hearts” series. Each book in the series is written for children age 3 through 8 and seeks to address difficult emotions that kids face and how to deal with those feelings God’s way. They are great books to read with your child because it helps open up a dialogue about tough emotions and gives parents tips to talk about it.

How’d it go?

“I read this book to my 9-year-old son. He liked the story and picked out characters from other books in the series. He was a little old for the story, but it got us talking about how he deals with failure and reminded him that only Jesus is perfect.” – Darcy VanNyhuis

“This book has valuable lessons about failure, pride and friendship. Our 4- and 7-year-old grandsons liked it a lot (and even asked to read it themselves before bed)!” – Peg Watson
