Good News for Little Hearts series
Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation

What is it?

This is a fun picture book series that uses little critters to address difficult emotions that kids face and how to deal with those feelings God’s way. Each book shows how the character and their whole family deal with the emotion. The books have a section of “Back Pocket Bible Verses,” which are Bible verses on the topic of the book that you can cut out and give to your kids. It also has a section that guides parents as they help their child deal with difficult emotions.

Books in this series include “Buster’s Ears Trip Him Up,” “Jax’s Tail Twitches,” “Zoe’s Hiding Place,” and more.

Who’s it for?

This book series is ideal for children age 3 through 8. They are great books to read with your child because it helps open up a dialogue about tough emotions and gives parents tips to talk about them.

How’d it go?

“I read this book series with my children. My toddler was too young for this series, and my 9- and 11-year-olds were a little too old. The older children did listen, and it gave us a chance to talk about the times they have to deal with their tough emotions and how God wants us to deal with them.” – Darcy VanNyhuis

“This series really kept the attention of our 4- and 7-year-old grandsons. The pictures are great! They learned a lot. They got the message of each book and saw how it fits situations they find themselves in.” – Peg Watson
