The Storm that Stopped
Alison Mitchell

What is it?

“Based on the account of Jesus calming the storm from Mark chapter 4, The Storm that Stopped is a dramatic storybook that will teach children about who Jesus really is, as they witness his power over nature.” – Lifeway

Who’s it for?

This book is part of the “Tales That Tell The Truth” book series from Lifeway Publishers (check out a review of the entire series here). Like all the other books in the series, this book is designed to engage little children (3- 6-year-olds) with a biblical truth or story as their parents read to them. The great storytelling combined with incredible illustrations is wonderful for helping kids understand and remember what the book is about.

How’d it go?

“This book was engaging and fun! The ‘meters’ illustrations are pretty humorous, especially for older kids reading themselves. My 7-year-old loved it!” – Melissa Campbell

“We liked this book! It’s a Bible account not focused on very often in stand-alone picture books. It was slightly humorous at times and had good illustrations. I enjoyed how it brought things together at the end and talked about how what Jesus did was important. The kids thought it was a great story.” – Julia Dawkins
