Adventures in Odyssey
Focus on the Family

What is it?
Adventures in Odyssey is an audio drama series that focuses on the goings-on of the fictional town of Odyssey.  John Avery Whittaker runs an ice cream shop which he uses as a way to share the Bible with kids in the town.  A cast of recurring characters cycle through the numerous episodes.  Episode topics range widely including:  Being a good friend, telling the truth, consequences of sin, making sacrifices, and working hard.  The production quality is exceptionally high and the story telling is excellent.

Who’s it for?
The content is suitable for any preschool and school-aged child.  Some episodes are on heavy topics that may be hard for little ones to grasp, but the content is handled in a biblical manner.

How’d it go?
“Adventures in Odyssey has been a family staple for many years.  We buy CDs of the episodes and listen to them when we drive.  It’s awesome to have something that both children agree to listen to.  I enjoy every episode, but the episodes that revolve specifically around Bible events have been helpful in getting my kids to understand scripture.” Lindsey Mulnix
