The Priest with Dirty Clothes
R.C. Sproul

What is it?
“Using the story of Joshua the high priest (Zechariah 3:1-5) as his jumping-off point, Dr. Sproul weaves a classic tale about a young priest who is invited to preach his first sermon before the king and his court. But on his way to the palace, he falls from his horse, getting his clothes hopelessly muddy. Jonathan finds that he needs powerful help if he is to stand before the king.” – Ligonier Ministries

Who’s it for?
This book is designed to help introduce young children to deep theological concepts. This would probably be best for a younger elementary age child, between 1st and 4th grade. It would be a great book to read with your kids and discuss with them. The book includes discussion questions to help guide your conversations after reading it.

How’d it go?
This book was a little long for my young kids, but I still loved it. I will be buying this book for when my kids are just a bit older. The ‘For the Parents’ section is very helpful to guide conversation and the Scripture references are great to take the kids to see what God says about the question/concept. It is such a clear picture of what Jesus does for us!” Jill Lee
